Guest Post on Gratitude

I have the honor of doing a guest post over at Janis’ blog, Retirementally Challenged. Tuesday for Janis is all about gratitude.  And while I have so very much to be grateful for, I decided to talk about our new space that I am loving living in.

This house transition we’ve just competed was about letting go (finally) of the old space where I felt shackled and designing this new space to be comfortable and welcoming.  In many ways, I feel like I am finally living the retirement lifestyle I envision.

Janis was the very first blogger I started to follow when I began this blog-o-sphere journey.  I didn’t even realize then that there was a whole niche of retirement lifestyle bloggers out in the world!  She has continued to inspire me for years now, both as a blogger and in her approach to her retirement lifestyle.  So check out some of her other posts as well, including some of her great photography.

  1. Thanks for the beautifully reflective post. I particularly appreciate the idea of outdoor space — this is what I’ve tried to create in my backyard — and because I am not yet retired but am self-employed and do a great deal of work at home, I find it the perfect way to enjoy sunshine and nature while still bringing in the income we need. Your new space sounds lovely! Enjoy!

  2. Hi, Pat – Janis was the first blogger that I followed as well. 🙂 I enjoyed your Guest Post on spaces, especially about ‘messages from the Universe.’ I may have just received my first ‘whisper.’ I wrote more about that in reply to your comment on Leanne’s site. I love this little corner of the blogosphere!
